Easter

Ben and I just celebrated Easter with his sister Amy and her husband Brig. It was tons of fun. I made my first ham with the most amazing glaze! I'll have to post that recipe at the end of this. We had it at Christmas time in Las Vegas with the Mom and Dad Leavitt and couldn't get enough of it. So if you get a chance you need to try it. We also dyed some Easter eggs. Brig taught us a cool new trick where you wrap a rubber band around the egg to get a nice white line. here is a pic of our eggs. Sorry I don't have any pictures of Amy's award winning egg or Brig's crazy man egg.

Here is that amazing Ham Glaze recipe

1/2 Cup Dr. Pepper
3/4 Cup light brown sugar
2 Tablespoons Orange Juice
2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard

Mix this up in a sauce pan and boil for 10 minutes. Glaze ham and bake. Use extra for the table.
We bought a spiral sliced ham so we put the glaze on all the slices before baking it.

Yes, the Easter Egg Dying Party was delightful. My egg was half green, half yellow with spots. The ham was delicious! Wish more of the fam could have been there.

I wish I could have been there. It sounds delish. I love the eggs and wished I could see the yellow/green one with spots. It hardly seemed like Easter without my kids.:(

You're blog is fun and I hope there is more in the future.

Hey, I'm glad you found us! I'm sure that park is close to where you guys live. My sister lives a few blocks from there. I'm a little jealous of your cute house!
